Kids Camp Week 1: July 6-12, 2025
“Minecraft – Build a Fair & Peaceful World”
Inspired by the popular video game Minecraft, this week focuses on science, technology, math, and engineering challenges. Spend time at the Crafting Table making creations, run from skeletons as they chase you through the forest, and scour the forest collecting resources that help you build towers, tools, and bridges both physical and metaphorical. Drawing from the 6th UU Principle, this week seeks to build and envision a world of community of peace, liberty, and justice for all.
Cost is $670.45 +HST.
Kids Camp Week 2: July 13-19, 2025
“Percy Jackson – Magic, Mystery & Wonder”
Inspired by the popular fantasy series, Percy Jackson week is full of mythical beasts and magical moments. Navigate your way through the Labyrinth, escape the clutches of The Three Fates, defeat the Minotuar, and return Zeus’ lightning bolt to its rightful spot. Drawing from UU’s multiple sources, this week focuses on the lessons that can be taught by polytheism and its role in spirituality. And of course, there will be plenty of Capture the Flag.
Cost is $670.45 +HST.
Kids Camp Week 3: July 20-26, 2025
“Wheel of Themes – Who Knows What Tomorrow Will Bring?”
Returning after a couple year hiatus, Wheel of Themes is back and bolder than ever. Every day is a new theme selected by the spin of the wheel the day before. Will it land on backwards day, or LARPing day, or musical day – the possibilities are endless! Drawing from UU’s penchant for multiple sources of inspiration, this week offers a chance for participants to express their creativity and improvisation in a fun and unpredictable way.
Cost is $670.45 +HST.
Youth Camps
Ages 14-17
Any youth attending CIT or LIT who are also attending “Jouth” are welcome to stay overnight on July 26 for an extra fee. Please contact director@unicampofontario.ca for details.
Counselors-in-Training (CIT): July 6-26
Age 15 – Entering Grade 10
Would you like to grow your skill set to help you gain experience to work within Unicamp and other companies and organizations? CITs pick up from the skills learned in the LIT program to continue to grow and develop a sense of self and the skills required to excel as part of a team. This program features a 2-night camp-out and hike experience, a day of shadowing a staff member, with plenty of time for fun, building friendships, and developing the leader within. Participants are encouraged to think about the role of mentorship in our lives and at camp.
The CIT program is lower in cost than the LIT program because it includes hands-on, in-the-field opportunities to support Counsellors. This program is a stepping stone experience to applying to become a Counselor at Unicamp and the experiences provided serve as skill building to join the staff in future years.
Cost is $1465.56+HST.
Leader-in-Training (LIT): July 6-26
Age 14 – Entering Grade 9
The vision of LIT is to grow the leader and role model that already exists within, and to equip youth to grow in leadership at Unicamp and in their own communities. With the guidance of facilitators and mentors, LITs are given the opportunity to learn and discover more about the operations components of Unicamp, camp’s roots, and its culture. With opportunities to build their self-confidence during camp wide games, and evening programs.
Cost is $1560.55+HST.
Jouth (Jr Youth): July 27-Aug 1
“The Great Debate”
Age 13-17
Please note that Jouth runs from Sunday to Friday. Arrival on Sunday is between 2-4pm, and pick up on Friday is at 1pm.
Inspired by the great debate of the past several years of Soup/Sandwich/Salad (don’t ask, but if you do, ask a youth) this week focuses on a series of debating topics ranging from popular culture to spirituality. Drawing from the UU focus on the democratic process and a free and responsible search for truth and meaning, this week will explore disagreement and consensus while offering all of your favourite Jouth activities.
Cost is $552.81+HST.
