UNICAMP RESPONSE TO COVID-19
Dear Unicamp Community,
Like all of you, we in the Unicamp Board and Senior Staff have been following developments related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak closely. We have taken the time to fully assess the potential impact of Coronavirus on our upcoming season and our community. On April 14, 2020, the Board met to consider options for our various programs and stakeholders and passed the following decision:
Unicamp (all services) is closed based on directives by applicable governments including:
- the directive to ‘close non-essential services’ – Camps are not essential services;
- the directive to not have more than five individuals congregate;
- the directive to ‘self isolate’;
- or other directives subsequently issued.
Unicamp is closed at least until August 1st, 2020.
Children’s and Youth camps are cancelled for the 2020 season.
During these uncertain times, Unicamp needs your help: patience and kindness as we work through best practices, cancellations, and refunds; or donations to help make sure we can weather this situation.
We have not come to this decision lightly, but in this time of uncertainty, we feel it is necessary to ensure the health of our community. If you have any questions or needs, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us via email.
Holding Unicamp in our heart,
Yvette Salinas, Executive Director
Janice Canning, President of the Unicamp Board of Directors
